MISSION BRIEFING

Operational intelligence for Trekkers, Shops, and Partners.

TREKKER INTEL

RIDERS / HIKERS / EXPLORERS
What is TRAILASAUR?
TRAILASAUR is an outdoor tracking app that turns treks into progression, track your session, earn XP + TrailBites, unlock artifacts, and redeem rewards over time.
What does TRAILASAUR actually do?
It records treks (bike, hike, run, ski, etc.), saves your history, and ties progression + rewards to real activity.
Is TRAILASAUR a Strava replacement?
No, it can live alongside your current setup. TRAILASAUR focuses on game-layer progression + rewards, and you can still keep your existing ecosystem.
Is TrailBites crypto?
No. TrailBites are an in-app reward currency (no wallets, no speculation). It’s meant to feel like points/progression, not finance.
How do I earn TrailBites?
By completing sessions recorded with TRAILASAUR. Distance, elevation, ride quality, and how complete your profile/gear setup is can affect rewards.
My session earned 0 TrailBites or says “suspicious.” Why?
Sometimes movement looks like a vehicle/lift or GPS corruption. Rewards may be reduced/blocked to keep things fair. Your session still saves, and if it happens on normal treks, contact support with the date/name.
What can I spend TrailBites on?
Discounts/perks in the TRAILASAUR Tavern (shop) plus occasional in-app artifact unlocks/bonuses as they roll out.
How do I apply TrailBites at checkout?
In the cart, use the TrailBites slider to apply part/all of your balance. You’ll see the updated total before payment.
What are Fossils, Relics, and Mystical items?
Artifacts in your Vault: Fossils = achievements, Relics = perks/discounts, Mystical items = temporary boosts. Each card explains unlock + usage.
Does it work offline?
Yes. Core tracking works without service. Sync happens when you’re back online.
Why is my trek not recording correctly?
Usually permissions. Make sure location is fully allowed (including background). If something looks wrong, send support the date, rough distance, and what seemed off.
How do I sign in or reset my password?
Use the email you registered with. Tap “Forgot Password” on login. If it still fails, message support with your account email.
How do I update my Trekker Profile, bikes, or gear?
Go to Settings → Trekker Profile, and Settings → Bikes / Your Cave (gear). More complete setup can boost rewards and helps keep a running “odometer” on equipment.
What is the Guide?
Your on-trek helper. Choose modes like pace targets, free-run guidance, or lap tools, and it gives simple “on pace/off pace” cues without spamming.
What is The Lab?
Experimental features. If it’s labeled “Lab,” you’re getting it early, expect improvements as data comes in.
What is an Expedition?
A guided mission layer you run alongside your trek. Pick a mode, set an optional goal, hit Record, and the Guide tracks progress.
What is Trail Mode?
Trail Mode links the Guide to a saved trek route and can show progress along the route plus optional pace guidance.
Why does it say “No saved treks found”?
Trail Mode only shows routes you’ve saved. Once you save a trek route, it will appear automatically.
Do I need cell service for Expeditions or Trail Mode?
Not for recording. Trail Mode may need a connection the first time you load a route, after that, you’re good.
How accurate is Trail Mode?
Built for real trail conditions, but GPS varies with trees/terrain/weather. Think “smart guide,” not a perfection test.
Endurance Mode vs Pro Mode, what’s the difference?
Endurance (default) is GPS-only and battery-efficient. Pro (experimental) captures high-speed sensors (50Hz) for things like airtime and creates larger files.
Why is Pro Mode processing slower?
It captures ~50x more data per second. Longer Pro sessions take longer to analyze; Pro is best for shorter sessions (often under ~2 hours).
Can I switch modes mid-trek?
No, the recording engine is set at start. To switch, stop and begin a new trek.
My elevation looks wrong, what’s happening?
Phone GPS/barometer can drift. Filtering helps, but weather/pressure shifts can still affect totals. If it’s way off, contact support.
How does the weather panel work?
It uses forecast data to generate activity-friendly summaries. It’s guidance, not a guarantee, always use judgment and local knowledge.
Why does TRAILASAUR need notifications?
Trek status, Guide updates, gear/service nudges, account/order messages. You can adjust notification types in Settings; some background features may break if everything is disabled.
Where is my order and how long does shipping take?
Settings → Order History shows status. Most items are made-to-order, so typical delivery is around ~2 weeks (varies by item/location).
Can I cancel/change an order?
If you need size/address changes, contact support ASAP, changes aren’t guaranteed once production/shipping begins. If something arrives wrong, support will help with next steps.
I paid for something and don’t see it. What now?
Close/reopen the app on a stable connection. If it’s still missing, contact support with platform (iOS/Android), what you bought, and approximate time.
What data do you store, and can I delete my account?
We store what’s needed to run the app (account, activity history, rewards, bike/gear info, and any optional connected services). In-app deletion permanently removes your account and related data, it can’t be undone.

PARTNER & SHOP INTEL

SHOPS / VENDORS / COACHES
What is the Partner Program?
A simple way to turn local trekkers into repeat customers using TrailBites-powered rewards and trackable redemptions.
What does a shop actually have to do?
Create an offer, set basic rules, and approve partner info. TRAILASAUR handles the listing + customer instructions.
Do we need POS integration?
No. Redemptions happen at the counter using an on-screen verification flow, no hardware, no plugins.
How do redemptions work at the counter?
The trekker shows a redemption screen with offer details (usually a code or confirmation step). Staff follows the instructions shown.
How do you prevent abuse?
Offers can have limits (per user / time-based), and redemptions are logged. The goal is “simple for staff, hard to game.”
What does it cost?
Early partners typically start free while the system rolls out. If paid tiers are added, they’ll be clearly announced.
Who is this for?
Bike shops, trail-side vendors, shuttle services, coaching, parks, events, anyone serving trekkers outdoors.
What kind of offers work best?
Easy-to-redeem perks: % off service, accessory discounts, free drink/snack, tube/sealant deals, quick add-ons at checkout.
Can we limit redemptions to in-store only?
Yes. Offers can be framed with in-store redemption rules (and you can require showing the screen to staff).
Can we run time-boxed promos?
Yes. Limited-time offers (weekend deals, events, races) are ideal, they create urgency and foot traffic.
Do you share customer data with shops?
Shops typically see only what’s needed to validate redemptions and basic program metrics. No “sell your customer list” behavior.
How does a shop get discovered in the app?
Through partner listings and reward catalog browsing. As the trekker base grows in a region, your offer becomes a “local loop” incentive.
What if a customer argues about a redemption?
The redemption screen should be the single source of truth. If something looks off, staff can deny and the user can contact support.
Can we change or pause an offer anytime?
Yes, partners should be able to adjust offers so you’re never locked into something that stops making sense.
What makes TRAILASAUR different from “another coupon app”?
Rewards are earned by real outdoor activity, it’s not random discount spam. It’s behavior-driven, local, and built around repeat participation.

PARK & TRAIL ORG INTEL

PARKS / BUILDERS / DESTINATIONS
What is TRAILASAUR for parks/trail systems?
A way to increase engagement, encourage repeat visits, and eventually reward good trail behavior (visits, volunteering, events, responsible riding).
Are you trying to “own” our trails?
No. The goal is supporting the local ecosystem, parks, builders, shops, and trekkers, not replacing existing trail org identity.
Can we promote events or volunteer days?
Yes, parks/orgs are ideal partners for challenges, events, and (future) verified volunteer rewards.
Does this create liability for parks?
The app is guidance/recording, not safety certification. Parks keep their own rules/signage; TRAILASAUR can reinforce “ride at your own risk” language.
Can parks control what’s shown?
Ideally yes, the long-term plan should allow verified/official partners to publish updates, closures, and approved trail info.
What if a trail is mapped wrong or outdated?
GPS data can be imperfect. The system should support corrections and partner-confirmed updates over time.
Can we use it to direct trekkers to approved areas?
That’s a strong future use-case: highlight official routes, closures, and “do not ride” zones while rewarding compliant behavior.
Do you share raw location data publicly?
Public sharing should be opt-in. Parks/orgs shouldn’t rely on user data being public by default.
Can we create “park rewards”?
Yes, park-specific perks (free entry days, merch) are a clean incentive loop, especially when tied to events or goals.
Can parks use it as a tourism funnel?
Yes, “Earn rewards by riding here” is a simple reason for travelers to choose your destination.
