FieldReady analysis

Live Field Model

Review field evidence, compare environmental conditions, and identify practical areas for follow-up survey.

Imported field evidence

Review routes, photos, coordinates, and sensor data

Use this section to confirm where the field work occurred and inspect the evidence that will be available to the environmental model. Your field files remain in this browser session.

Add evidence

Import recordings and reference evidence

Add Trailasaur recordings, GPX routes, CSV files, photos, ZIP exports, or known field coordinates. GPX contributes location-only route evidence and does not need sensor files.

Drop field data hereRecording folders, GPX routes, ZIPs, CSVs, HEIC/HEIF, and JPEG photos can be mixed in one drop.
Applied to CSV routes in this import batch. GPX and photo GPS coordinates use WGS 84.

Retrospective routes/reference map

Routes and reference locations

Retrospective evidence

Traveled routes, GPX segments and waypoints, geotagged images, and manually entered reference locations are drawn over OpenStreetMap. Observed photo clusters and route-attention areas do not predict ant hills, fossils, or environmental prospectivity.

Required model input

Environmental reference locations

Required for model

The model uses route location evidence, photo reference locations, known coordinates, and external environmental datasets. In a route-only session, representative route samples define the source environmental profile. You may review, group, or deselect references below. If none are selected when you press Build Model, FieldReady will automatically use all supported reference locations.

How to use the model

What the map is showing

Read before field use
1

Reference locations are observed evidence

Green markers identify the located photos or coordinates selected to define the environmental conditions of interest.

2

Cells are comparison units

A cell is one small area of land evaluated by the model. Its displayed size comes from the selected cell-size setting. A colored cell means the available terrain, soil, cover, drainage, and disturbance data could be compared with the references.

3

Color shows relative resemblance

Warmer orange cells are stronger local matches to the selected reference conditions. The score is relative environmental resemblance, not a calibrated probability.

4

White outlines are suggested search areas

Neighboring high-ranking cells are grouped into practical areas for field inspection. Search the outlined area rather than treating its center as an exact target.

Map terms and limitations
Environmental resemblance
How closely a cell's available environmental measurements match the selected reference locations.
Data support
How much usable source data is available for scoring a cell.
Model uncertainty
How cautiously the score should be interpreted because of missing, coarse, mixed, or boundary-adjacent data.
Field priority
A practical ranking that may consider resemblance, uncertainty, novelty, and travel context.
Suggested search area
A connected group of high-ranking cells. It is an approximate survey zone, not a confirmed site or surveyed boundary.

How to read the result: each colored cell is one model search area. Warmer orange cells more closely resemble the selected reference locations. White outlines group connected high-scoring cells into suggested search areas. These are survey suggestions, not confirmed finds. Route distance can change field priority, but it does not change environmental resemblance.

Top 10 search locations

Cell-center locations

The model lists the centers of the ten highest-ranked search cells. Select a location to center it on the map and open the environmental explanation below. A high rank means the conditions resemble the selected references; it does not confirm a fossil, ant hill, or other field target.

No scored cells.

Maps and analysis remain WGS 84.

Aligned environmental variables

Suggested search areas are connected groups of high-ranking model cells. Their outlines follow the model grid and are approximate field-search boundaries, not surveyed property lines, natural geologic contacts, confirmed ant hills, confirmed fossil sites, or probabilities.

Route context

How movement context is estimated

Three evidence layers

FieldReady combines time-aligned sensor measurements, photo locations, and derived movement segments to describe how a route was traveled and what was happening near specific locations. These layers provide context for field review; they do not prove an activity or replace the original evidence.

1. Sensor measurements

Motion, orientation, pressure, location, and other available channels help identify changes in speed, stillness, elevation, and device handling over time.

2. Photo locations and times

Photo metadata places observations along the route and shows where the user stopped, returned, or spent additional time documenting an area.

3. Estimated movement segments

Time-aligned evidence is grouped into interpretable periods such as traveling, slowing, stopping, or concentrated field activity. The result helps explain the context surrounding routes and reference locations.

Sensor data

Recorded sensor measurements

Sensor recordings are visualized for field review and aligned with route time. Their patterns help estimate changes in movement and provide context for photo locations and other field observations.

Load a recognized sensor CSV and choose an available family.

Reference layer

Photo points of interest

Photo capture time and location help connect documented observations to the route and nearby sensor activity. Only metadata is read; images are not decoded for display, uploaded, stored, or treated as movement ground truth.

Derived movement

Estimated movement segments

These segments summarize likely movement states from the available time-aligned evidence. They are heuristic interpretations used to explain route context, stops, and activity near reference locations.
